Women in tech:
your place is here

At Orange, we believe women belong in tech. They innovate, lead, code, teach, and inspire. And above all, they are driving lasting change in technical and digital careers.
Meriem - Head of technical department:

"Being a woman in a technical world is an asset because we bring a different way of  managing."

Building a tech career as a woman

Mentoring programs for women in tech, skill and career development, soft skill workshops, support networks: at  Orange, we do everything we can to support women and break down stereotypes in tech.
Khaoula - AI manager:

"Clearly, artificial intelligence needs women. Gender diversity in teams is essential,  especially to limit bias. Women are still underrepresented. Yet the opportunities are  there: in AI, there’s no time to get bored, there’s always innovation, new challenges, and  you can work in any field – from sports to beauty, healthcare to aviation, defence, or  cybersecurity."

Hello Women: a program to inspire and empower

Since 2020, Hello Women has taken concrete action to encourage women in digital careers worldwide. In partnership with 26 associations, the program has already supported more than 40,000 girls and women to start careers in tech.
Four action areas to promote inclusion in tech:

• raising awareness among young girls about technical fields

• attracting women to digital careers

• supporting career transitions

• retaining talented women at Orange

"Mentoring is very important for career development, especially for women. I  was lucky to benefit from it, and now I pass it on, sharing my experiences. At Orange,  I don’t feel favoured or disadvantaged for being a woman. There’s true equity  between men and women. We all have the means to thrive in our work."

"My experience at Orange has given me complete freedom: to choose the job  I’ve wanted for a long time, to decide how I manage my projects, and to set my own  pace while maintaining work-life balance. That’s why I chose to work at Orange."

"My advice to women is: take up space, speak loudly. When you’re in a room,  make sure everyone has seen and heard you. Never “stay in your place”. See that job  you dream about but think you’re not good enough for? Apply anyway."
